Keegan Golf was founded in
1988 when John started his career as a PGA Professional
at Morris Country Club.
After serving the membership for over 30 years, in 2020
John opened his Golf Performance Studio in Morris.
Instruction Studio: The studio, located at
539 Bedford Road, includes cutting edge technology
to aid in the teaching of every part of the game.
We use camera based launch monitors for ball and
golf club detection, Blast Motion, high speed video
playback, markerless 3D motion capture, force plate
technology for ground reaction force reading,
HackMotion wrist training, and numerous training
aids to expedite every students improvement.
Another benefit at the teaching studio is an
additional training bay is available to rent for our
students.
Lessons: Lessons are available for players of
all ages and abilities. John has been awarded with
both the Illinois PGA Chapter - Junior Golf Leader
and Teacher of the Year awards on two separate
occasions, John has also been named a top 100 club
fitter for both Ping and Mizuno. He has been
fortunate enough to teach numerous state champions
and currently teaches over 80 high school and over
30 collegiate players and is a Certified US Kids
Instructor.
Club Fitting: A
good golf instructor knows the value of fitted golf
equipment. We believe when equipment fits a player
correctly (length, weight, flex, lie angle), they
can concentrate on the proper motion to create their
desired ball flight. John is certified by
Wilson, Callaway,
Titleist, Taylormade, Cleveland Golf, Srixon, Cobra,
Tour Edge, Ping and Mizuno to custom fit for their
full offerings of clubs. Additionally, custom
putter fittings are available for all of these
companies as well as See-More Putters and L.A.B.
Putters.
Lessons and Club Fittings are both available by
appointment.
